David P. Richards, MD
David P. Richards, MD, FRCSC, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC). He received his medical degree from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, and completed his first fellowship in arthroscopic and reconstructive knee and shoulder surgery at Plano Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Clinic in Plano, Texas; he completed his second fellowship in arthroscopic and reconstructive shoulder surgery at the San Antonio Orthopaedic Group in San Antonio, Texas.
Dr. Richards is a published author in the field of sports medicine and arthroscopy, a reviewer for Arthroscopy: The Journal of Arthroscopic and Related Surgery and currently serves on the Communications Committee for the Arthroscopy Association of North America. His specialties include arthroscopic and reconstruction of the shoulder and knee and sports medicine. Dr. Richards is fluent in Portuguese.
